I lost a hive 2 years ago and put the "best" frames in the freezer. I now have a swarm that is getting to the place where they will need a second box. Can I thaw these frames and checkerboard them into the new second box along with naked frames? Will they clean out what they don't want and use the honey in the old frames and build out the naked frames, or would that be too much work to ask the swarm to do this first year? I can put them back into the freezer till next year if necessary. But I'm also short on woodenware so would have to go and buy some frames for the new box if I don't use these.
