Hello Cedar, welcome to the forum. Glad to have you join us.

The video is cool. The slo-mo makes it very intersting.

I am a first year beekeeper myself, just started two hives about a month ago. I might suggest that, if the weather is warm enough, you remove your entrance reducer or only cover half the
entrance. It looks like you have enough bees to justify it. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck on this fascinating hobby!

Dave
Welcome: Where did you buy your bees in Steamboat?
I got them in Ft. Collins.. Do you know of any high altitude bees available?
No such bee that I know of. Look for locally raised queens.

Go the Colorado Queen Honeybee Testing Project. These folks raise local queens.

Just prep your bees well for a long winter.
Welcome Cedar, cool name. Have fun with your bees!
