We did a split with the new hive over the parent hive separated with a double screen board (Snelgrove board). Our goal is to have them raise their own queen. How long before the new hive can be moved to a new location? Thanks.
You could have moved them when you did the split. You could move them now. You could wait until the box is queenright and full of brood. You could wait until it's queenright, full of brood and they've filled another box on top of that... it's entirely up to you...
