Does anyone know where I can buy split top comb honey frames similar to those that Kelley used to manufacture and sell? For cut comb.

Is that the type of frame that has a slit on the top bar to load foundation in from the top?

The top bar is split, but there is no gap. Foundation is loaded by use of a jig that opens the split so foundation can be inserted. When removed from the jig the bars spring back to hold the foundation until the two sides of the split can be stapled. The type of frame top bars that have a gap are just about worthless as it is very difficult to get a good hold on the foundation after it is inserted.

Lloyd, have you tried Humbles Abodes. There site says they make custom frames. Give them a call and see if they can make them for you. If they can let the rest of us know.

Kelley was continuing to make them on special order with a 1000 frame minimum plus a set up fee. That was a couple of years ago before the Mann Lake buyout. Don't know if that's still an option.
