just signed up here, hi everybody! i fugured i am ready to start asking some questions as i get more serious about all this beeky stuff.
got first packages of bees in 2010. they failed in the winter and i continued to play the game that most noobs fall into. started requeening with own surviving stock last year and working on increasing this year. finally my queens this year seem to be performing better than any i have ever bought. trying to max out my 10 deeps and expand further to mediums next year. had both hives make it throught the winter, but one had a failing queen. been doing splits. playing with foundationless also. currently have five hives, one is a double nuc with queens due to emerge any day. i will only get honey from my one hive this year.
