I'm in central SC in a good flow. I have one booming hive that is filling supers like crazy (I have six others that are splits and swarm captures). The big hive is filling supers with honey but they are only about 10-20 percent capped. I have three mediums of uncapped honey and I'm about to add a fourth super. They just won't cap the honey.

I'm in my third season and I don't remember seeing this before. Any ideas? I use all mediums and this hive is 6 boxes high now. Our flow started about April 15th.

They may be having trouble getting the moisture content down, so they spread it around as much as they can to maximize surface area. The nectar is coming in so fast they can't dry it. Having to add supers is a good problem to have.
