In the US we have 2 commercial producers. They have a simpler methodology and inspection regime and are compatible with commercial foundation

These hives do have pro's and con's and I think are more suited for the Northern climes. I am in the Mid Atlantic zone and do have both AZ and Langstroth hives. Most of my production comes from the Langstroths as I can stack on supers while we have our short strong spring flow and with the AZ hives space is limited.

Are you getting more than 160lbs of honey or do you run double deep brood nests?
