Beveling the sides of the scraper allows you to clean out both surfaces of frame rests at one time - and lets you get all the way to the corners. I've been using it for a few weeks to see if it works well - it does. BTW, the edges are NOT sharp - you don't really want that, it would wear the wood too much.

This is a Kent Williams hive tool, but it would work exactly the same on any other.

Intresting looking hive tool. May I ask where you got that J-Hook?
(please dont tell me you made it, I have wayyy too many projects as it is!)

I think I bought it at a conference, but you can order them too. Just google Kent Williams Hive Tool. It's the best hive tool I have tried. Too expensive to carelessly lose though.
