I checked my bees last week and there were plenty of eggs, plenty of larvae...don't actually see the queen very often with everybody around, but I know she's been busy. Yesterday there were NO eggs at all in either hive. Should I assume that I've lost both my queens, or give them a few days...I know laying drops off late in the season, but it seems a little early. What should I do?

Jessi,

It is HOT. Really really really hot. The queens here (west central Missouri) are mostly shutdown. It is hard to regulate temps in a hive full of brood and nurse bees. Give it a few weeks and recheck.
