Beeks for 6 years, and fascinated by the thought of queen rearing, so decided to try this year.
Built a cloak board and followed directions (mostly), as well as some tips from Michael Bush.
The grafting was pretty cool, but waiting for 10 days to check them was nerve-wracking! :)
Day 10 was Tuesday, and we had 10 of the 18 grafts 'take'! I put them into 2-frame mating nucs and now we'll see how the next stage goes.
I'm sharing the vid not as "how to", but because beeks need to share successes and failures. :)
I think next time I'll try the cell builder method, because the cloak board really seemed to piss them off....
