Are there any set dates to when disease treatments given in Spring,Summer,Fall & Winter ?

For diseases like AFB & EFB it's 3 applications according to the label in the Fall and Spring.

For Nosema and now we have a 2nd one ,Nosema ceranae
You have 2 applications, Fall & Spring

For the "I don't treat owners", none and I am sure they will have a lot of comments.

You also have one endo parasite and one ecto parasite to treat.
Curently I am using my IPM program.

Spring:
I don't give the bees any treatment.

Powdered sugar if I remember... I forgot this year

Late summer/Fall:
Thymolated syrup

Winter:
I give them my "Best Wishes"

i got a chuckle just now when i saw this thread on the forum- on my screen, the forum software had truncated the thread title to read: "Schedule For Disease..." :D

And don't forget to allow enough time according to label after spring treatment before placing honey supers on.

In the early spring I give them no treatments.
Late spring, I give them no treatments.
Summer I give them no treatments.
Fall I give them no treatments.
Winter I give them no treatments.

It's an easy schedule to keep...

The link doesn't work.

Thymol is said not to work on Nosema. Why bother adding this "Benefit" ?
Go here: http://www.beesource.com/ and do your HBH search.

This is why I bother...

1. Thymol helps to prevent the syrup from fermenting.

2. The "softer" varroa treatments are thymol based.

3. I like walking into the CVS and asking the pharmacist if he could do me a favor by weighing out some "crystal". He fell for that "beekeeper" story last time... :)
