Scavengers in bait hive

How concerned should I be about scavenging bees in my bait hive?

I have a bait hive in my apiary and today I noticed bees coming and going from it. Unfortunately, it turned out just to be scavenging bees, there after what was left on the old comb (which was just pulled a few weeks ago). I've tracked some of the bees, and not all are coming from my hives. How concerned should I be about this? I'm worried about disease getting transferred to my bees from these "foreign" bees.

that's how my swarm started... a few bees coming and going every day, for about 2 weeks, and then one day a swarm moved in.

I hadn't thought of that!
Yeah it is good when you see bees hanging out at your bait hive, a swarm is many times not far behind, anyway your bees are going to have cross contamination with other bees many times a day when they visit their nectar and pollen sources.
I get very excited when I see some bees around my bait hives! I always hope they're Scout Bees! :applause: Every once in a while, they are!
Now you've gotten me all excited. :)
