I just aquaried a queen that was left without attendants for 3 days. I moved a frame of brood, honey and a empty drawn comb into a nuc. I read here several times that the bees know when they are queenless within a couple hours so I waited 6 hours then put her in the nuc but I didn't uncap her. I've checked her several times to see if they are taking care of her and they appear to be however every time I raise the top to peak in all the bees on the top of the frames turn their tails up and start fanning every last one even the one that are covering the queen. Any idea whats going on? I've never seen this type of behavior before. Should I remove the cap and see if they will eat her out?
Any help would be great>
