i was placing my grafted queen cups into some hives and noticed they looked small. Are Russian queen bees smaller than say Italian or other queen bees? It appears they had no royal jelly left in the jzbz queens cups either and are due to emerge tomorrow. Is that normal to see?

I have never noticed any difference in the size of my Russian queens and my Italian queens. However, the size of either one can vary and queen larva that are fed less often produce smaller queens than larva which have ample food.
