Ive been keeping bees for about 7yrs now. Believe it or not i have never seen robbing. Is this the time of year robbing starts. I have a 2 deep1 medium Italian hive. I walk by it and see bees all over. Its rained for the last few days. It looks like orientation flights. But as i look at the front on the ground are a mass amount of dead bees. Every entrance hole have bees piled up and it looks like they are fighting. Ive never seen it. My weakest nuc is empty theres like 10 bees inside. How do i stop it or deal with it. My other hives look normal bees coming and going as usual. They are a good 200 ft from the Italians.

I used tape and closed off all entrances but 1. I have it open a inch or so. I read you link. I just might lock them in till sunday nite or Monday. It looks like most bees left theres a couple hundred there but its definitely not like it was.

20 mins after taping it all up they stopped. My 3 double deep hives are just packed with bees. I opened all 3 up and i was amazed how many were inside. Closing all entrances sure worked. Heres a 40 sec clip

I can see why you can get confused about is it orientation flights or robbing. If i didnt see them wrestling i would have just kept walking past.
