I haven’t installed a new package in quite a few years, and have always used them on splits in the past. I have never had a winter loss in five years of beekeeping until this past year. I don’t think I got the dead hives out of the yard in time and there are clearly some robbers hanging around, will it hurt anything to install the package into a hive with a robber screen in place? I’m sure this has been answered elsewhere in the past but I was unable to find it, thanks in advance.

Robbing shouldn't be a huge problem this time of year with the spring nectar flow either ongoing or very soon to be going. Robbing bees are usually most active during a dearth. But, when in doubt, throw an anti-robbing screen on there. I would wait until they get settled and start laying since putting the robbing screen on makes the entrance confusing for a day or two. If they think there is a problem and they don't have a firm allegiance to the spot you installed them in, they could decide to go elsewhere.
