I was just out watching my hive late in the afternoon (7:00). A lot of activity, possibly robbing, but cannot tell. It is not a mass of bees, just more than normal. Some on the ground, it appears some fighting going on. Does not look like orientation flights.

The thought occurred to me: Is it possible to distract or decoy robbing? I wonder if putting a tray of 1:1 on top of the hive (or somewhere else nearby) would satisfy the robbing bees, or would it just attract more?

I fear that it would attract more AND attract your own bees.

If you really wanted to try it, I'd put the decoy feed WAY away from your hive.
