Ok I had a hive that was getting robbed by a nearby hive with the small entrance reducer in.... The bees were also having traffic jams at the front.... I opened the entrance up to the larger hole and put on a robber screen that covered the larger hole!!!!!

The robbing ended!!!!!!
It has been about 2 weeks!!!!!

My question is how long do I need to leave this on? I feel as it the robber screen is slowing them down now. Even though it has helped them in the longrun....

take it off for a day and see what happens.
If the robing starts again put it back on.
My robing screens have 3 openings so I can adjust as needed.

My screens have been on since I have hived the packages just a little over two weeks ago. I'm planning on leaving them on for the long term to see what happens. So far the hives are thriving.

I have top and bottom entrances, I keep a robber screen on one year round, the other entrance that has no robber screen I keep closed until the population gets high and the flow is on, I then open it, at that point the hive is too strong to be robbed.
