sold two strong splits out of a couple of last year's overwintered tf nucs that had built up to packing out double deeps.

they were in good shape and not entertaining swarming which is hard to believe because most of the colonies that are going to swarm have already swarmed this season.

i was able to find one frame for each split that was 100% covered with capped brood on both sides. the queens looked magnificent as usual.

what really made it rewarding though was the expression of appreciation that the gentlemen showed in response to the opportunity to get them.

Congrats, I too have sold some hives for the first time this year, it's a good feeling to go to buy lumber or sugar with money from the bee sales, I can't call them welfare bees anymore.
