I was wondering about what temp it would be safe to complete removals and successfully transport bees. In the past my concern has been the heat, yet this spring has been slow in coming and cold. We just got about 4 inches of snow this AM. The day I'm looking at for removal it will be in low 50's, below55 F, which I cancelled last week due to this temp. Can I transport bees in back of covered truck at this temp? can I transport at lower temps? drive will be about an hour. Then when I get to yard can I start new hive or would it be better to combine with another hive? I would like to not reschedule, but client and I are on the same page, removal needs done but we both want the bees to live. Removal is from a private residence. Thanks for your help.
