I removed queens from hives a week ago in order to get queen cells. Queens are currently in nucs. I am looking for opinions on reintroducing the original queens back to hives and giving nucs the queen cells (after leaving queenless a while). Good idea/bad idea? My thought is to get the main hive back into production more quickly...

I vote good idea. I've done it before and it worked just fine. Just make certain to get ALL the queen cells out before you put your old queen back in so a rouge virgin doesn't rough her up. Let us know how it goes!

Sometimes they’ll take her back, other times not. You won’t know till you try (if you do.)
