This system worked for me and helps reduce Heat waves and different bacteria that love the heat and grows on bees, this also helps speed up honey production.

feel free to adopt my idea, you will need 4 thin blocks of light wood, wood glue, staple gun for the screen and small nail to hold the frame, to prevent wood splitting use a thin drill to reduce pressure when nailing. You can use an old storm window door or window screen,

REMEMBER: This goes between the Telescoping cover and your supper or deep hive. what ever is under your cover.

a modified moving screen?

why do you think that light at the top of the stack would be a problem?

yeah looks similar, for the first comment, its not a moving screen, you can remove it and place it back but its stationary, helps vents the air on its side and dosent let in light from underneath the cover, this prevents bees from filling in wt wax or makes them think it may be an exit.
