Redesigned Pollen Feeder

496 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  123989
I redesigned my bucket feeder. I
shortened the tubes and added
22 1/2 degree ells to keep the
rain out. Because of another thread
I started worrying about UV rays
and it's effects on the bucket. I plan on
painting this one in an effort to prevent
damage to the bucket.

So how does this work? Just put some pollen in the bottom (how much?) and use as an open feeder? placement? Next to the hives, 100 feet away?
I just placed my other one on two
Concrete blocks. You could hang it in a tree as well. Put as much pollen as you want.
Mine is only like 25 feet away from my hives. It's not really critical, the bees will find it.
