Day 32. 11 well established combs. Everything looks good to me. I installed a spare TB in front of the follower but didn't get in in all the way. There is a 1/2 inch by 1 3/8 inch gap at one end and the bees seem to love it as an entrance. There is usually a traffic jam at each of the 3/4 inch holes I drilled in the front end. Is there a down side to leaving the gap on the TB in front of the follower?

Is there some reason I should close off the rear entrance?
