You know there was a bush fire in Australia a few years back that destroyed a town except for one house that was unscathed, now in Australia it was illegal to touch any of the indigenous trees and undergrowth however this guy said to hell with you guys I am cleaning all this rubbish around and in my property so went ahead and did so. Well the government charged this guy and fined him a feww thousand bucks. So his property was not burned and the rest of the Town tried to sue the government for their stupid regulations, much like the stupid regulations of California that apparently prevents the management of their forests probably as it is claimed to be habitat for some furry creature or striped frog. Maybe you dont have any of those in Finlqand.

We have flying squirrels here in the Ozarks and they are very cool.

The climate here is very different than California, but we have found that burning off the underbrush every few years helps to limit damaging forest fires.

we used to do that in Calif. cut dead trees and keep the brush cleared, can't do any of that now. a lot of people made money selling fire wood that they cleaned off the forest floor, now it just rots or burns.
