The hobby is getting away from me and I need to sell a few hives. Is there anything special I need to do in Texas to sell them or can I just make a post online and sell them?

Disclaimer: I'm not an attorney, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

I live in Texas as well. Here's the applicable Texas Ag Code... https://agrilifecdn.tamu.edu/txapia...RICULTURE-CODE-CHAPTER-131-BEES-AND-HONEY.pdf
/

The only laws about selling bees that I could find were about queens, packages, and nucs; however, this doesn't appear to apply to large hives. If you're selling nucs or queens, you need an apiary inspection certificate, or an affidavit from yourself about being disease free. Open the code and do a Ctrl-F to do a word search within the code.

But what if you sell across state lines?
(He would have had to ask this sooner or later.)
If you sell or buy across state lines which states rules do you follow?

And are there problems with carrying hives across state lines? (I remember when driving to CA from UT, there were these inspection stations at the borders...but they were always closed, and at the time I wasn't thinking about how it would affect me later.)
