Hi beeks.
One of my hives (this one didn't make it through winter) had a few syrup/honey frames that it didn't get around to capping last fall before the cold set in for winter. How do you all deal with this situation? Scrape it down to foundation and let them start from scratch or something else? I'm guessing that since it didn't get capped, the food source isn't good anymore. Correct assumption? It's definitely sold and won't run but has been exposed to open air for some time.
TIA
