Good day.
I decided to go foundationless this year. I had a few sheets of foundation left over from last year that I cut into strips to use as starter strips.
I've been curious about this for the last couple of weeks: When the bees start building comb, will the cells be the same size as the cells on the starter strips?
I'm only wondering because I used popsicle sticks as comb guides in my topbar hive and the cells are much smaller than the cells in my foundationless hives.
I hope all of that made sense. The neighborhood is busy blasting really loud fireworks off and the dog is yelping in my ear, so I'm really a bit distracted.
