I split one of my hives on Friday. The parent hive is in the process of making a new queen. When I checked on Sunday, they had grafted into one cell and started filling with jelly. They had started work on other cells but hadn't started filling them yet. I want to move this hive down the hill about 50 yards away from the chicken coop, garden, etc., so that my boys aren't constantly at risk of getting stung. Would you guys move this hive while it's making a new queen or let it ride until after the new queen is established for fear of somehow hurting queen development?
