I recently extracted my first shallow super. In a five gallon bucket it weighed 24.2 pounds.

My question is, there is thin layer of white milky film on the top of the honey. The honey was filtered through a fine filter. What is it and do I skim it off or just bottle it as is?

id bottle as is. You will be surprised how much of that will stay in the container and not go into your bottles. I put all of mine into a queart jar for 2 days before i rebottle it and 95% of the time, the foam and air stays!
