queens coming with bad weather until Friday.

I have queens arriving Thursday probably ( could be as late as Friday) but we are forecast for bad weather until Friday morning meaning making up splits is going to suck in the rain.
Is it feasible to put the queens on Thursday evening in their cages with their attendants into a queen right hive up in the supers above an excluder until the weather breaks on Friday?

Go ahead and do a Queen excluder if you wish. As Vance advised, put the screen face down in center of queen excluder, as center of a big hive is warmest.

This would be overkill for a few days, if cages have live attendants. Just mist the cage screen on the non candy end three times a day-early morning, noon, and late evening. The attendants will make some syrup and feed the queen. Don’t mist the candy end as water dissolves the candy and inside of cage gets to be too sticky.

so are we having fun yet??? our last bunch of queens we had to send them down into Penn. to be used, I'm debating buying one of those float boats to get into my yards:lookout: good luck they should keep for a while, I think they are forecasting a day with sun towards the end of the week. but then again they haven't been to correct yet.

they are shipping out Wed. Im hoping they arrive thursday night but ill be ok if they get here Friday since the weather is supposed to be better on Friday.
I think ill just put em in a big hive in the middle above a queen excluder and leave em there until the weather breaks.
So, you're talking one day? Don't worry so much. No problem keeping caged queens for a few days. Keep in a warm place. Give one drop of water a day ...on the screen. You can also add a few nurse bees (young bees) to the cages if the attendants look weak.
