queenless need advise

Here in central missouri should there be eggs and larve by now i have 3 hives one has a small brood nest the other two nee no eggs or larve the bees are loud and flying around alot when i open them up i thought they may have lost there queen if thats the case is it to early to order queens or any advise .

Look through closely and make sure there is no queen.

It is not too early to order queens, but it might be a little too late. I know most suppliers are already sold out for the spring season. Start getting on the line to find someone who still has some queens available.

It might be a better idea to just let them go. If you arn't alright with that, try to take a frame of eggs from one hive and put it into your queenless one. If they don't have a queen, they will use the eggs to raise their own.
Hank, I see you're up a little NW of St. Louis... yes, you should have eggs, sealed brood, etc in all your hives by now. Were I in your situation, next warm sunny day I'd go through those two hives and see what I could find. Especially looking for the queen. In the meanwhile, I'd see if I could order two queens. Even if you have queens there, you may want to requeen, as those two don't seem strong enough to lead a hive. Good luck to you sir!
