A strong hive swarmed on me about a week ago. I caught the swarm, put 10 frames of new foundation in and a top feeder with 1:1. Checked 7 days later, 90% frames drawn out, but only ~ 8% had eggs. No larvae. One supercedure cell. Never seen anything like it; the queen still looks great, was laying bricks just last month. Thought I’d ask on here

Although some queens get right into laying immediately the swarm has been hived, that is not always the case. Would have taken a bit for them to draw the comb enough for her to lay at all, then the eggs don't hatch till the 4th day, your check was only 7 days in.

Too early to panic, I've seen primary swarms that still had no eggs by the 7th day. Give it a bit more time. :thumbsup:

Listen to Oldtimer, but I would check back inside in no more than a week from the last inspection.
