Queen right hive with laying workers?

My question is can you have a queen right hive and laying works at the same time? I have had a new queen in the hive for almost a month . She seems very tiny to me as if she was not mated. And I now have brood that looks to be drone brood in small cells as the caps are bulged. And still have cells with multiple eggs

key is where are the eggs. If they are at the bottom then its the queen. If on the sides then laying worker. new queens can lay double while trying to get it right.

In the situation where the present queen is unable to lay, the answer is "yes".

It is the lack of brood that leads to a laying worker hive. Meaning, if a queen is present, but unable to lay for whatever reason, the hive will eventually go laying worker if the queen situation is not fixed.
Ok I might try to cage her on some new comb to see in fact if it is her laying or the wrkers. The eggs look to be at the bottom of the cells and not all cells have multiple eggs. And it doesnt look like there are cells with more than 2 or 3 eggs. I MIGHT have a drone laying queen then feom what I read
I MIGHT have a drone laying queen then from what I read
That would be my guess. I pinched one of those last weekend.
Ugh not sure if its to late to tey and raise another one
Wounder if I have time enough to have them make another by introducing a frame with queen cell
I am a new to bees, and new to this forum. but I would say that it is not possible to have queen right hive and laying workers.

You may have a colony with a queen in it that is not laying, or other problems with a queen, but that is not a queen right colony. If a colony is indeed queen right, there will not be workers laying eggs.

Just my thoughts.
Happy Home
yup i had a drone layer this year had to give her the big squish and replace her.
