I would recommend you first become familiar with bees and beekeeping, if you're not already. Then I would read several books about queen rearing, several are available at Michael Bush's web site. Then assemble the gear for the technique(s) you plan to try, then begin trying different methods and equipment, until you develop your own style. Once you become proficient at your preferred method, you likely have enough basic skill to scale your operation to any future needs. Also check past threads here on the beesource forum, many experts have shared many of the details of their own techniques.
