What could be the problem with a mated queen that looks beautiful but doesn't lay any eggs. I requeened a queenles hive with a baught mated queen. She has been out of her cage for two weeks and hasn't laid a single egg.
Thanks
Barney
Was this new queen marked so you know it is her you see? Is it possible you are seeing the old queen that failed and they killed the new because the old queen is still there?
Two weeks is about my max... after that I'd be replacing her. But one last check for eggs is in order. In the meantime I would have already given them some eggs and brood so they can take care of things.
