I caught a swarm a few weeks back and they were doing great. Went to check today and the queen is gone. Not sure if I accidentally squished her or if she swarmed. Good but of bees lstill here so just not sure. Anyhow, queen cells present and capped and just curious what my next moves should be? How long to leave hive alone etc...

Three weeks minimum from the time the first cell is capped. Longer is better because larvae are much easier to see than eggs. And sometimes it can take awhile for them to start laying after getting mated. Hardest part for me is leaving the stinkin nuc alone after making sure there are queen cells in it. I am now putting a piece of duct tape on the top and writing the date I saw the capped cells so I don't inadvertantly go back into the hive too soon.
