Last year I raised a queen that started laying by walking across the comb leaving a trail of eggs. This was in a mating nuc within a few of days of when she should have started laying. There were eggs everywhere. Probably a couple thousand on both sides of one frame.
Within a few days those had been cleaned up and she had caught on that she had to "control herself" until she backed into a cell. She is still laying normally now.
I would give her a week to figure it out.
