Queen Excluder Yes or No

882 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  JWPalmer
I just checked my hive 2 deep + 1 small super using also a queen excluder.
The two deep full with honey and brood. The super is 3 Frames full with honey for quite a while. It is not very busy in this box as well. Does the queen excluder have an influence on this.

Thanks for your response in advance

No. Your nectar flow may be petering out for the season. Or at least until the Fall -- if you are fortunate enough to have a Fall flow.
Dittos on the flow is over, harvest what you can before the bees eat it all. Put the cleaned out super back on and start feeding moderately to get the box full of drawn comb and capped syrup for "winter".
