Going through splits and checking to make sure the queens were released today. Two of the colonies had queen cells in them. Pulled some frames and the new queens had one to two frames of eggs. Queens were on the frame with the cells. Culled the cells and put the colony back together. I hope they change their mind.

If there are a lot of drones around your neighborhood, you may want to split, taking the queen and frames of stores with bees, along with some drawn comb frames with lots of empty cells for the queen to lay; leave behind the queen cells and brood in the existing hive.
