One of my hives swarmed 3 weeks ago and then two days later issued an afterswarm. All three hives are going great guns. The original hive has more capped brood than I've ever seen before, hardly leaving room on the frame for honey & pollen. I noticed, however, that the swarm cells remain. Open, empty, but not removed. What am I to take from this? I thought the workers got rid of the queen cells once they had a prize queen settled in and laying.
