Hello all!

My friend has a lavendar farm and he said he would let me put my hives there next season.

I went and checked out his farm and there is certainly a lot of lavendar and since the woods are just behind him, I know there must be wild berries and other bee like food around the area.

what do you all think? Is a lavendar farm a good place for hives?

We have a bunch of lavender and you cannot keep the bees off of it unfortunatly the bumblebees chase away the honeybees. I see honey bees all over the lavender farms near Port Townsend.

Hi Chef,

I completely forgot about the meeting on Monday, so if you were in town I'm sorry I missed meeting you.

I seem to remember reading that lavender honey crystalizes quite quickly, so be sure and extract soon after removing from the hive.
