I pollinated some pumpkins last year. To me, it was not really worth it and if it had not been for a buddy, knowing what I do now, I would not do it again. The supers had a weird green-yellow "glow" to the wax, something I have not seen. It was just a very odd color to the new wax they built on the supers for the cappings. Fortunately, I had other supers to transfer to them for winter stores.
Pumpkins will be a good pollen source but probably won't draw much nectar. I've got hives over pumpkins and cotton. It's the cotton that will produce honey and the bees will help produce more pumpkins.
