I am curious as to what would be the correct name description of the type of bees I have. I started with Italians and still have primarily Italian hives on my yard. I add wild swarms when possible. Over time I know there is some crossing. If I sell bees from my yard, what would I call these type of bees? Thanks

Mutts, even your Italians were open mated mutts.

Call them local BEES, if someone asks for more detail, them what you have in your yard, and inform them that they are opened mated,

I tell folks my bees are local mutts with Caucasian traits. That is more as a warning since they are heavy propolizers. I also advise them to use a j-hook hive tool to remove the frames (or a jackhammer).

Local bees is an accurate description in most cases. Go with that.
