Took a little drive North about a half hour. Haven't been up there in a few years. Was surprised to see this activity.

Talking with a local I think he said either 120 or 200 were going in. Project will take a while as they have to run all the transmission lines.

I kind of like seeing these, but don't know if I want them in my back yard. I heard that the noise is somewhat irritating. Might redefine goose hunting as gunny sack affair.

The Crane is a massive machine. The guy I talked to said the tracks were trucked in separately. With the rest trucked in as pieces.

I always wondered how they are erected.

I live near one of the plants that makes the windmill blades. Every now and then I have to stop for or see one of the trucks hauling the blades, and they are definitely big. At this point I think the blades are well over 100 feet long.
