Hi I am about to get my first nuke, my question is do I need to put somthing floating in my Mann Lake Pro-feeder so the Bee's will not fall in the sugar water. if there is nothing floating in the sugar water can they get out on ther owen. How long do I leave sugar water in the hive

A float would be a good idea. If the sides are grooved then its easier for them to get out. They usually stop taking the sugar water when there is a nectar flow.

I line them with #8 hardware cloth or metal screen door screen and then put a float in besides. And still bees will drown, but a lot less will.
