Very nice clip I have some questions

What is 250,000 hectors?
2000 700 Million pounds
2008 1.4 Billion pounds produces

A 100% increase in production of almonds in 7 years.
Did they plant 100% more trees? Or was this extra production due to the honey bees , or a combination of both.

Did the beekeepers see such an increase in there income. Or are the beekeepers and the bees just used by the almond industry?

What is 250,000 hectors?

Hectares are a metric unit of land measurement. 1 hectare is roughly 2.5 acres, so 250,000 hectares is 750,000 acres or 1170 square miles.

Yes the tonnage is accurate/correct. There were huge, huge, plantings of almond acreage. I guess thats why pollination prices went from the $45 per hive range to $150.
