Its been one week today since I did the tree cut out. I was pretty sure based on what I saw that i did not get the queen. I went in today to see how things were progressing. I found 2 open queen cells, on one frame. The one I could look into had something inside.

Bee Honeybee Insect Membrane-winged insect Pollinator

The next frame had 2 capped cells.

Bee Beehive Honeybee Honeycomb Insect

It appears I have a chance of saving these survivor bee genetics. Im keeping my fingers crossed for them. They are still very gentle. I would love to be able to requeen my ordered nucs from this hive later in the summer. They are taking feed but not in large amounts.
