I searched forum archives for info on Porcelain Berry (PB), and found one post saying PB honey had an unpleasant taste. PB is starting to bloom here in Northern VA and the bees are all over it.
Should I pull my supers and avoid tainting what I have? Or is the threat of bad PB flavor overstated ("porcelain berry honey tastes like elementary school paste, sugar, and grapefruit pith", Branman, 2017 )?

what did you do last year?
did you notice a tase issue?

flavor is somewhat in the each has an opinion category, I would try a year and see.
It would likely be part of other honey and not be an issue.

Its my first year at this location so the porcelain berry is a new experience.

And while I knew paste eaters in elementary school, I never was one, but I'll be doing a taste test (of the honey, not the paste) this year to try to identify the PB honey:). Thanks!

There are other sources of nectar blooming of course, try it this year and see what happens, if it doesn't taste as sweet, make Meade or something out of it!
