Just a quick question from a small time beekeeper that would like to move into sidelining. Are there many pollination opportunities in northern Idaho for a small scale outfit ..... and an old man, to make a buck or two in retirement?

None that I have heard about.
There are some small orchards around Lewiston. I don't know if anyone pollinates them or they rely on wild bees etc.

I would talk with the Wilson family at the Wilson banner ranch in Clarkston. and put the word out in Pomaroy and you might talk to some of the orchards over towards Othello.
The orchards in Lewiston are covered by there own bees hobby bees and wiled bees Lewiston has lots of bees but could not hurt to call around.
hope this helps

There are several commercial beekeepers already in Lewiston area, don't know what their operations cover though?
Wouldn't hurt to ask around!
I know they are placing their outyards closer to where my outyards are every season and they are running a lot of hives.
If I hear of anything I will send you a PM.
Best of luck!
